66th APAA Council Meeting in Bali, Indonesia
This year’s 66th APAA council meeting was held in tropical Bali, an island just off the coast of Java in Indonesia from 08 to 11 October 2016. Henry Goh was represented by three of our young and dynamic executives – Eng Leong, our In-House Legal Counsel and Business Development Strategist as well as Andrew and Qi-Guang, our Patent Agents. Bali is an island rich in culture and tradition. With the council meeting being held in the Nusa Dua area, traditional sculptures and art pieces adorned every corner. It truly was a sight to behold. Our team has had a very fruitful trip, reconnecting with longtime associates and meeting new ones. There was particular interest from our Japanese associates concerning Modified Substantive Examination during patent prosecution as well as the MyIPO-JPO Patent Prosecution Highway program that began over a year ago. We look forward to attending the 67th council meeting next year which will be held in Auckland, New Zealand.
