Effective 01 October 2012, the Registry of Industrial Designs in Brunei has been transferred from the Attorney General’s Chambers to the Patent Registry Office (PRO). This move is part of an ongoing restructuring of the country’s IP administration system that will ultimately see the establishment of a National Intellectual Property Office responsible for handling registration of patents, designs, trade marks and plant variety rights.
