Senior Patent Agent
shadow

Graduating from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical – Electronics), Diyana became a registered Patent Agent and Industrial Design Agent in 2012.

Prior to joining Henry Goh in 2017 as a Patent Agent, Diyana has experience working in the Research and Technology arm of a Fortune Global 500 company where she managed the company’s patent portfolio, conducted white-space analyses in new areas of technology of interest as well as provided advice and guidance on intellectual property strategies for capitalizing on immediate opportunities and long-term initiatives.

Diyana was appointed a Senior Patent Agent in 2024.

Her responsibilities in Henry Goh include patent drafting, prosecuting Malaysian patent applications in a wide variety of electronic, electrical and mechanical arts as well as in foreign countries, especially in the South-East Asia region, through our network of foreign associates.

Diyana has a good understanding of the technological principles and processes employed in the automobile industry and handles a substantial portfolio of automotive applications. She enjoys attending seminars and webinars on this particular technical field to keep abreast of developments and build on her working knowledge.

She constantly and diligently works on tight deadlines and is particularly adept at multitasking – a much needed skill when handling a rapidly evolving portfolio of cases and clients.

Diyana has successfully advocated on behalf of clients before the Malaysian IP Office (MyIPO) at non-contentious hearings to overcome substantive patent objections.

As industrial design registration has acquired much greater significance in Malaysia in recent times, Diyana also assists clients in analysing the Malaysian design registration landscape in relation to their products. Such FTO analyses are critical to clients’ commercial plans. This is in addition to managing design portfolios for domestic and international clients.

In her free time, Diyana enjoys journaling.

She is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).
