MyIPO Seminar | National Effort for Public Awareness and Education of Intellectual Property
On 06 March 2018, the Malaysian IP Office (MyIPO) and Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation (JIPII) jointly organised a seminar on National Effort for Public Awareness and Education of Intellectual Property (IP) at MyIPO’s office in Bangsar.
Speakers from Malaysia, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Japan shared their experience on how awareness on intellectual property is raised in their respective countries.
The participants of the seminar came from a variety of backgrounds – most were IP practitioners and/or IP managers as well as students from local and private universities.
From the seminar, it is clear that MyIPO has taken an active role in raising awareness and educating the public compared to other neighboring countries. MyIPO’s activities and initiatives include IP Funtastic, “Anugerah Harta Intelek” as well as the Malaysian International Young Inventors Olympiad (MIYIO).
