CSR Project: Donation of Desktop PCs to the Methodist Girls’ School in Kuala Lumpur

With the constantly evolving technological landscape, Henry Goh’s IT Team regularly reviews its hardware and software requirements for daily operations. For IT hardware, our policy is to maximize the lifecycle of all equipment as far as possible with upgrades, repairs, re-use and re-purposing as our needs change. In this way, we aim to lessen our environmental footprint and reduce e-waste. From time-to-time, we will still end up with hardware that is fully functional yet surplus to our requirements.

Recently, we were privileged to give a batch of our surplus desktop PCs a new life by way of donation to the Methodist Girls’ School in Kuala Lumpur. Prior to handover, our IT Team carefully checked each PC’s functionality as well as securely deleted all data. The PCs were handed over in early August 2023 and were well received and appreciated by the school. Pictured on the occasion of the handover are our Managing Director Ms Karen Goh, Principal Puan Chan Peck Fong and Puan Tan Su Ling from the school, surrounded by our Henry Goh colleagues Chin, Syahir and Shahrul.

In fact, this is the second time we have donated PCs to this school. An earlier batch was provided in 2022. As digital skills are increasingly important in the knowledge economy, we are honoured to assist the students and staff of the school in this way.
