Ainatul obtained her interdisciplinary honours degree in Bioinformatics from Malaysia’s Multimedia University in 2014. After graduation, an interest in high-end cutting-edge research technologies and instruments led her to a patent career. She started her career as a patent specialist in 2014 with one of Malaysia’s established Intellectual Property firms, where she learned the ropes of the patent practice and gradually progressed to managing patent portfolios for a wide range of local and international clients.

Whilst serving as a patent specialist, buoyed by an insatiable appetite for knowledge, Ainatul embarked on a postgraduate degree at Tongji University in Shanghai, China, in September 2018. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property Law with Distinction from Tongji University in July 2022.

Ainatul sat for the Malaysian patent agents qualifying examination and qualified as a registered Malaysian patent agent in 2019. She is also a registered Malaysian industrial design agent.

Ainatul joined Henry Goh in 2022 and handles the drafting, filing and prosecution to grant of Malaysian and PCT patent applications. She is also involved in handling pre-filing novelty and freedom-to-operate searches for inventions from the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, mechanical and computer systems.

In her spare time, Ainatul enjoys nature and shares a love for the game of golf with her husband.
