About Elina Maszura Isa Abdillah
Elina has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biotechnology from University Putra Malaysia.
She has more than 20 years of experience in the Intellectual Property (IP) field, having worked in the IP field since 2003. She is a registered Malaysian patent and industrial design agent, with extensive hands-on experience in patent and industrial design matters, handling inventions across a broad range of technologies, including biotechnology, food science and biomedical innovations.
In addition to coordination of filings across multiple jurisdictions and managing prosecution of patent applications locally and internationally, Elina’s experience includes evaluating invention disclosures, conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate assessments and handling the strategic development of patent portfolios. Her combination of technical insight and practical knowledge of the patent system has helped clients identify valuable innovations and provide guidance through the process of patent protection.
Her professional development includes training conducted by the Malaysian Intellectual Property Office (MyIPO) as well as specialized programs led by experienced international practitioners. Notably, she has completed the Patent Expert Training program in Japan and the Southeast Asian Drafting (SEAD) Course organized by the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI).
She joined Henry Goh as a Patent Manager in 2026.
Elina has been recognized for her expertise as a recommended individual for patent prosecution in Malaysia by IAM Patent 1000.
