We are gathered here today, 22 August 2014, in memory of the passengers and crew of MH17.

We may not have known them personally, but we, the People of Henry Goh, together with all Malaysians, mourn their tragic loss. Our hearts go out to the family members of those who have died. We pray that they will find strength in knowing that we are one with them in their grief during this sad and difficult time.

We pray for the departed and for the bereaved, and we pray for our country, even as we remember the 298 people, including 82 children and infants.

(Multi-faith prayers were recited. An hour of silence was observed to honour the memory of the passengers and crew of MH 17.)
