awards ceremony in conjunction with ITEX 2023, the 34th International Invention, Innovation &amp; Technology Exhibition Malaysia held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center on 12 May 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry Goh was represented by Mr Andrew Siew, Senior Patent Agent who presented the ITEX 2023 Best Invention in Environmental Innovation Award to a group of researchers from University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) for an invention entitled Enhanced Alkaline Earth Silicate of Rice Husk Ash Origin for Free Fatty Acid Extraction from Waste Frying Oil. The research team was headed by Dr Arthur Hoo Peng Yong, a senior lecturer of UniMAP, who also represented the team in the acceptance of the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the biggest winners of the evening was University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), whose researchers managed to secure a total of thirteen awards, more than any local institutions and research facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was filled with good food, music and a showcase of traditional dances by professional dancers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Henry Goh was privileged to take part in this year\u2019s Malam Budaya Cipta, a dinner celebration and awards ceremony in conjunction with ITEX 2023, the 34th International Invention, Innovation &amp; Technology Exhibition Malaysia held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center on 12 May 2023.
