INTA 2026: Productive Meetings, Global Friendships and London Evenings

We are proud to have our Head of Trademark (Lim Eng Leong) and Head of Patent & Industrial Design (Oon Yen Yen) represent the firm at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA), held this year in historical London. As always, INTA proved to be one of the most valuable and energizing annual events on the global IP calendar.

Bringing together thousands of IP professionals from around the world, INTA 2026 created countless opportunities to reconnect with long-standing associates and build new relationships across jurisdictions. From Europe and Asia to the Americas and the Middle East, what united everyone was a shared passion for IP and the ever-evolving challenges and opportunities within the field.

Beyond the formal meetings, the week was filled with engaging conversations about trademarks, patents, enforcement trends, emerging technologies, AI, business development, and the future of the IP profession. One of the highlights of INTA is always the chance to strengthen professional friendships in a more relaxed setting, and London certainly delivered. The city played host to a wide range of receptions, networking events, dinners, and gatherings across town – from elegant historic venues to lively rooftop spaces overlooking the skyline.

Of course, an INTA week is never short on activity. The packed schedules, back-to-back meetings, and late evenings can be exhausting, but there is also something uniquely rejuvenating about spending time with people who share the same enthusiasm for IP work and international collaboration.

This year’s conference also featured extensive discussions around innovation, sustainability, and the increasing role of AI in brand protection and patent strategy, reflecting the changing technological landscape of global IP practice.

As the London meeting came to a close, the IP community is already looking ahead with excitement to INTA 2027, when the conference returns to the well-loved city of San Diego once again.
