Hakim is a Patent Agent at Henry Goh who specializes in the field of physics and has a wide range of technical expertise, including for mechanical and software-based inventions. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physics with Electronics from Universiti Malaysia Sabah in 2012.

After graduation, Hakim was attracted to the patent industry as it is a unique combination of technology, law and business. He begun his patent career in 2013 as a Patent Engineer and progressed to serving as Assistant Head of Patents and Senior Patent Consultant at established Malaysian IP Firms before joining Henry Goh.

Hakim has attended various Intellectual Property courses and seminars conducted by local and international organizations including the FICPI Southeast Asian Patent Drafting (SEAD) Course in 2014. He sat for the Malaysian patent agents qualifying examination and qualified as a registered Malaysian patent agent in 2019. He is also a registered Malaysian industrial design agent.

Over the years, Hakim has worked on numerous patent matters with many small and medium-sized enterprises, research institutions as well as multinational corporations. He currently handles patent and industrial design matters including patent drafting, patent searches, providing freedom-to-operate and patentability opinions, and advising on matters concerning prosecution of local and foreign patent, as well as design applications.

Aside from reading about new scientific discoveries, Hakim enjoys classical martial arts training, strength training, and spending time in the sea and on the beach.
